Ordering
How do I order?
Tap Enquire on WhatsApp on any piece, or gather several pieces in your Selection and send them together. A member of our team replies, confirms availability, the final price and delivery, and guides you through payment.
Can I see a piece on video before I buy?
Yes. Many pieces have a luster video on their page, and we can send more photos or a short video on WhatsApp on request.
Do you have a physical shop?
We serve clients personally on WhatsApp and deliver across Lagos and beyond. Message us to ask about viewing options.
Purity and weight
Is your gold authentic?
Yes. Every piece we sell is gold of the karat stated, as set out in our Terms.
Is the weight shown the final weight?
For jewellery, the weight shown is an estimate unless the page says Verified weight. Actual weight may vary slightly depending on the finished piece, and your final quotation reflects the confirmed weight and the applicable gold rate, with any additional charges communicated before payment. Gold bars and coins are listed at their stated weight and purity. Where it says Weight on request, we will confirm it on WhatsApp.
What is the difference between 18k, 21k, 22k and 24k?
Karat measures purity. 18k is 75% gold, 21k is 87.5%, 22k is about 91.6% and 24k is 99.9%. Higher karats have a richer colour and contain more gold per gram.
Pricing
How are your prices set?
Every price is the piece's weight in grams multiplied by our current gold rate per gram for its karat. We update our rates and show them on the website, so you can check the working on any piece. Jewellery weights shown are estimates until the finished piece is weighed, so your final quotation reflects the confirmed weight and the applicable gold rate. Delivery and any additional charges are communicated, and your final price confirmed in writing, before you pay.
Does gold keep its value?
Gold has been valued across generations and offers a tangible way to own a precious metal, but its market value can fluctuate. Jewellery resale prices may also be affected by purity, weight, condition, craftsmanship and the price a buyer is willing to pay, so we cannot promise that a piece will resell for what you paid.
Why do some pieces say Price on request?
Made to order and one-of-a-kind pieces are quoted personally. Message us on WhatsApp and we will reply with a price.
Do you show prices in pounds or dollars?
Prices are in Naira. Where shown, pound and dollar amounts are indicative only, using our current reference rate.
Delivery and returns
Where do you deliver?
Across Lagos, throughout Nigeria, and internationally to the UK, US, Canada and beyond. We confirm options and timing for your address on WhatsApp.
What if my piece is damaged in transit?
We repair it, or refund the damaged component, within a reasonable time frame.
Can I return a piece?
If you need to return a piece, please send it back immediately. We resell it and pay you once it sells, at the rate at that time. Otherwise, we are unable to offer refunds.
Do you buy back used gold?
No. Vivid Karats sells new gold and does not buy back used gold.
Packaging and care
Does my order come gift-ready?
Yes. Every gold order arrives in our signature jewellery box and branded paper bag.
How do I care for my gold?
Store pieces separately in their box, remove them before swimming or applying perfume, and polish gently with a soft dry cloth. We also offer complimentary cleaning and polishing, and assess repairs: see Jewellery Care Services, or message us on WhatsApp.
